Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association (IPDGA)
The IPDGA exists to promote pet groomers in Ireland and to provide quarterly education demonstrations and seminars. The IPDGA was formed in 1996 and has over 60 members from all over Ireland. We hold quarterly seminars and demonstrations including renown groomers, and for the first time in 1999, Ireland entering a team in the world championships, and all of whom were members of IPDGA. I see education as our most important role and the next few years will be a challenge as we need to make a policy decision on standardizing a set of exams for both the beginner in grooming as well as the more experienced and also for the master groomer. Exciting times ahead.

National Cat Groomers Institute of America Inc.
The NCGIA is a membership association that sets and defines cat grooming standards and awards certification (CFMG Certified Feline Master Groomer, CFCG, Certified Feline Creative Groomer) through testing. The NCGIA also offers ongoing education in all aspects of feline handling and grooming through seminars, videos, study packets, workshops and private instruction.
