Email We appreciate your interest in the Nanhall School of Dog Grooming. Since 1986 Nanhall has had never-ending dedication and responsibility to each student. Nanhall’s commitments also apply to grooming shows, in the years of 2001 though 2007 Nanhall’s students have had winning placements in National’s Carolina GroomFest Oster Career Start Contests. Through Nanhall's Course you are taught the art of grooming and not just the mechanics. You learn to enhance the beauty and balance of your dog with proper grooming skills; to deal with biting dogs, skin, eye and ear problems; to utilize the latest equipment and technology. This course is designed for the career individual. You learn to be a professional with integrity and security. We accept only 6 students per session enabling us to give the personal, hands-on attention each student deserves. We welcome you to visit our school and discuss any additional questions you may have with our well-qualified staff. This will be an enticing and rewarding career. Email Carolina School of Dog Grooming is located in Waynesville, North Carolina. Our comprehensive 10-week dog grooming program includes 2 weeks of home study and 8 weeks of hands-on training. Upon satisfactory completion, the student is awarded a diploma and the title of certified professional groomer. The 2-week home study portion of the course covers dog and groomer safety issues, correct bathing and fluff drying techniques, tools and equipment, their correct usage, and text book study. The 8-week classroom portion of the course is 4 days a week ~ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday ~ 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The classroom portion of the program is completed in a working dog grooming shop environment with our friendly professional staff. The program covers all dog breeds, grooming techniques, equipment use, and much more. Students will also learn about customer relations, evaluating dogs for health issues, and business setup. Students also have unlimited access to the school library of textbooks, periodicals, VCR tapes, and DVDs. Our goal is to teach you to groom dogs with finesse and compassion and give you the ability to succeed in your grooming career.
