Carolina School of Dog Grooming

Carolina School of Dog Grooming is located in Waynesville, North Carolina. Our comprehensive 10-week dog grooming program includes 2 weeks of home study and 8 weeks of hands-on training. Upon satisfactory completion, the student is awarded a diploma and the title of certified professional groomer. The 2-week home study portion of the course covers dog and groomer safety issues, correct bathing and fluff drying techniques, tools and equipment, their correct usage, and text book study. The 8-week classroom portion of the course is 4 days a week ~ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday ~ 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The classroom portion of the program is completed in a working dog grooming shop environment with our friendly professional staff. The program covers all dog breeds, grooming techniques, equipment use, and much more. Students will also learn about customer relations, evaluating dogs for health issues, and business setup. Students also have unlimited access to the school library of textbooks, periodicals, VCR tapes, and DVDs. Our goal is to teach you to groom dogs with finesse and compassion and give you the ability to succeed in your grooming career.
