Concord School of Grooming
oncord Pet Grooming is the oldest owner operated all breed grooming shop in Knoxville, TN. Susan Porterfield opened the doors in 1967; since then she has established herself as one of the foremost groomers in the country. Susan is a graduate of the New York School of Dog Grooming, University of Tennessee, a former member of the Professional Handlers Assn., and she is currently a licensed Judge for the American Kennel Club. Concord School of Grooming offers specialized training classes and hands on experience in all breed grooming. You will also learn how to use and maintain the equipment required for grooming pets. The classes begin the first Monday of each month. Required attendance is Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. The course is 12 weeks and designed for the individual desiring to become a master professional groomer. There is a 4/8 week option for those who have limited funds and time. You may attend 4 weeks basic and return later for the additional 8 weeks required to complete the certification training.
